Sales Gas Dehydration

The sale of natural gas between producers, processors, transporters, and utilities is governed by contracts that specify terms of gas quality measured by heating value, temperature, pressure, liquid content, and water vapor content.

Many sales contracts require that each million standard cubic feet (MMSCF) of gas contains no more than 7 pounds of water vapor.  Natural gas never matches level of dryness straight from the ground.  It needs to be dried.  The most common method of drying natural gas is using a triethylene glycol (TEG) dehydrator.  In some cases TEG dehydrators are not practical, due to either process conditions, cost restrictions or environmental constraints.  In these cases Van Air Systems offers an alternative.  PLD Series dryers along with three grades of deliquescent desiccant can be used to meet sales contract moisture requirements.
